About (how it started)
A bunch of mates
The Regulators are a bunch of mates who are tired of saying nothing. Between us, we've lost friends to suicide and watched others go quiet when things got hard.
So this November we're riding together: growing moustaches, getting men talking, and raising money for care that men can't otherwise get. Anyone can mount up.
Where the money goes (the bounty)
Every rand rides to care
The bounty is R100,000. All of it goes to men who have no medical aid, or who have run out of their PMB cover.
Our money is ring-fenced for men who need a psychologist, a psychiatrist or admission to a mental health clinic, and have no medical aid or have used up their cover.
The name (why regulators)
Why The Regulators
1878
The original Regulators rode in Lincoln County, New Mexico: ranch hands who banded together after losing their mentor, and stuck together when it counted.
Regulate
As in regulating your emotions: the skill most men are never taught.
No cap
An open posse. A core of riders, and room for every man who wants to mount up.
